14.2 HANDS

Cover art

Released

An experimental song to test Pony.fm’s handling of fullwidth characters (discovered after posting “HOW DO I VAPE?”).

A “pony” is generally defined as a horse that measures less than 14.2 hands at the withers. (A hand is a unit of measurement equal to 4 inches. The “.2” means two inches, not two-tenths of a hand, so the threshold is 58 inches.)

I tried to make a song in “14/2 time” (actually notated as 14/16 in the sheet music), with two beats in a measure split into seven parts each.
